I am bummed! I forgot to take a picture of all our Gummy Bears in each of the liquids! The children came up with some good words to describe the bears. The bear in the oil had no change at all. The Sprite and Water made the bears almost like Jello. They were, "gooey, big, pink, soft, jiggly," etc. The bear in the Vinegar "disappeared."
We have been working on printing the numbers 2, 3 and 5 doing the Roll-n-Write activity. We also played the Roll-n-Write game with the letters, G, H and I.
I made a chart to work on letter sounds only using the beginning letters of everyone in our class. Eventually we will add other pictures that begin with the same letters.
Below, the children played a game where they had to roll the die and move the bear up the path until he reaches the den.
We have been reading the Bible stories of Holy Week. The children took home their mini sticker books. I hope they can tell you a little bit about them.
On Tuesday, Fr. John stopped by to visit. We all wanted to show him our Easter hats, so they stood under theirs. Don't they look great?
Easter Parade Time!!!
Look at these two cuties. They got in the box to read their books after snack time. 😍
Mrs. Sedivic came by to tell us about an Easter tradition. A cascarón is a hollowed-out egg filled with confetti or small toys. They are mostly used in Mexico during Carnival, but in US and Mexico border towns the cultures combined to make them a popular Easter tradition. The egg is typically broken over someone's head for good luck.
Happy Easter!
