After reading, "Goldilocks and the Three Bears," we began ordering things by size. We used blocks, Legos, licorice and straws. Then we made silly seriation trees using various sizes of cut squares or circles. I gave them tiny (baby bear size) pieces of chalk to draw a sun, grass and tree trunk. This forces them to use their pincer fingers
The children colored pictures of Goldilocks and the Three Bears to make puppets. They used my puppets to retell the story at the big doll house.
Some other creatures made it into the story as well. 😄 (See photos)
After reading, "Go Away Big Green Monster!" by Ed Emberley, we made our own Big Green Monsters.
