We talked about triangles this past week. The children made triangles using spoons, paintbrushes, and craft sticks. They also made a triangle tree by gluing foam shapes on a paper tree.
I introduced our classroom computer to the children. The mouse is a tricky thing for them to handle. We played a connect the dots game on ABCya! On Thursday we went to the computer lab and they did pretty good for their first time.
Hexbug Maze Making
We met with our 3rd grade friends and wove paper to make place mats for our Thanksgiving Feast. Then we played in the room. The 3rd graders loved reminiscing about their days in preschool.
,After reading the book, "It's Okay to Be Different," we had a discussion about how boring and confusing our classroom would be if we all looked exactly alike. Then we looked at each classmate, one at a time, and described each one's hair, eyes, etc. I drew a quick face on the board for each of us. The children were pretty sad when I erased the board. I did take a picture of my "artistic creations." I told them I would print the picture and hang it in our classroom. Who knew my silly quick-draw would be liked so much! Thanks God for making us all different.
